There exist many books and articles of a scientific nature that occasionally relate directly to the Ottoman Armenians, but they are mostly based on materials written in Ottoman-Turkish. In the British Parliament published a ""Blue Book"" that identified the events of –16 as a systematic effort to exterminate Armenians in the Ottoman Empire. The documents herein are concerned with the period of Turco-Armenian history. The period in question, coinciding with the First World War, is the most controversial era of the history of the Ottoman Armenians. Much has been said and much published abroad about this period. The following documents are from a book published in the Ottoman Empire, and in English yet; there are many more powerful sources within its pages, and hopefully in time we'll present more.
